Which programs can convert .cda files to .wav? or.. what programs can edit .cda?

Acid Pro 3.0, Sound Forge 5.0. and probably Sonar.

look for something called a 'cd ripper' at hitsquad. once your cda files are ripped into .wav files you can edit them in an audio editor or encode to mp3. my cd burner came with ripping software, many others do as well.

There is no such thing as a *.cda file. That is just how Windoze "points" to individual tracks on a Red-Book CD. To edit them, do as the others have mentioned and rip them to a wav file on your Hard Drive, then edit from there using your favorite wav editor.

CDEX is a great little program that does this.

It converts from WAV to MP3, MP3 to WAV.. rips CD and a couple other things...

Thanks a lot. It's written on an audio cd-rw cd..will this still work? And also is red-book the kind of format that you can send to cd duplication factories??? or is that another type...?

Red-Book is the format read by any old CD player. It is specified as 2-channel (Stereo) 44.1kHz, 16-bit. When you burn from your PC and select Audio-CD (as opposed to data CD), it will be Red-Book. Data CD is another book (Orange? ISOxxxx?)
