Has anyone ever used Kinko's CD and DVD Reproduction Service to print their CD artwork for the CD its self and/or the artwork in general?

i think their prices are unbelievably high!!!
not that i have much better to offer - but i can get a decent bulk order (5000) of cd inserts for like $200 . . .if the artwork is completely done

i havent reached those capabilities as of yet - i can do like 2 lines of black text on silver cds and like i said, i can get you about 5000 cd covers for $200

EPSON makes some printers that print on CDRs. You have to get inkjet printable media. I have the 300 model I think. It works fairly well. The CD loader tray is a bit of a pain in the ass at times.
They don't look like screen printed CDs, but it beats the hell out of a Sharpie or those crappy stickers. I use the silver/silver media. They have a dull shine after printing.
Uses a shitload of ink if you're not careful though. 6 ink cartidges at $15 a pop! OUCH!

When I need to reproduce CD's myself I usually go through SuperDups:

They do everything, burning printing etc, They silkscreen the disks and you get barcodes with them

I also use an epson printer to do my cds. I'm using it as we speak I do the artwork with the help of my cousin I insert the covers and shrink wrap them in with a hair dryer on low. I'm an out of pocket label owner, so i have to keep my overhead as low as possible. yes the tray is a pain in the a&$, but it keeps you ahead of the others who just buy sharpies every two weeks.
