Cassette to CD.

Ok. I was wondering, when recording from a Casstte to a CDR, should I activate the Dolby NR on my Deck? And should I use my (quite old) Equalizer to improve the sound? See, most of my tape to CD trasfers will be of concert tapes I've recorded my self on a small stereo recorder I bought from Radio Shack. (O_O) And I was wondering if the EQ would improve the sound, such as increasing bass and high end.

If the tapes were recorded with Dolby, yes, otherwise you'll get a starngely hyped high end. If not, no. Re the equalizer -- why bother? It will just color the sound you have in a permanent way. If you record it straight oiver you can tinker with EQ on the computer all you want without actually changing the recording.

Hi there! I reckon that U get the tape onto your pc first and then look at some Dolby plug in for Cubase VST or similar noise remover.If it needs it maybe you could re EQ it or if you're happy then leave it just the way it is!
