I have a cheap tascam with a mixer and effects. I was wondering of an inexpensive way to get my songs onto something like N-tracks and then
get to burn it with my CD burner(inexpensive as possible). Please help!!! :(

When I first started my soundcard came with a cable that had left and right rca cables on one and and a small headphone sized jack on the other. I'd plug the rca in to my monitor out jacks and the headphone sized one into the computers line in and record using musicmatch and adjusting levels as if I were mixing down (essentially you're using the computer as a mixdown deck).....I've since upgraded drastically but that's a good way to get started.

Do you need a soundcard first.........you didn´t mention it. SB Live is a cheap one, but I think you should invest well for the first time, check another options from brand like M-Audio, Echo, Audiotrak, nice quality for the price.
After you have your soundcard you will need some cables to connect your Tascam with your pc. RCA to plug or rca it all depends in what card you choose.

That´s an idea don´t know how much is cheap for you, so I throw the SB Live as a first alternative.
