;)

.... what's a "cassette" ???

Just kidding... heh... I remember 8-track (GAWD I'm getting old!!!)

.... Hey ... I checked out those links, and that machine does Cassette to cassette... I think he wanted to go from CD to cassette...

... although I'm positive that if you're even a little mechanically inclined and can handle a soldering iron you could jury-rig it to connect to a CD.

Yeah, but I think it will take a 2/4-track audio stream directly to both tapes,...

from an external source.

-[Based on what I know, not having studied the T-2640 too closely yet.]

Guys... thank's for the links...
One of my friend wanted to start his cassette duplicating company (yess, just legal duplicating company, not starting a record company). He already has CD to CD duplicating machine, and looking for about CD to cassettes and DAT to cassettes duplication system. He asked me for a suggestion... Thank's. I still open for more oppinions...

Still open for suggestions?

OK how about this...

get several cheap casset units (used or whatever --- be sure the cassette recorders use a "soft touch" button system not a mechanical button system)

and a (good quality) patch bay....

Hard wire all the cassette recorders so that the recording feature starts off a single switch patch in from the patch bay and be sure the CD player is the source

... probem solved...

Course that's if you have the skills... basicly all you need is an ohm/Volt meter some wire and solder. Maybe a few resistors... Use the Ohm/Volt meter to make sure your output signals are matched. (use the resistors to lower voltage where needed)

We actually did this a few years back to do Cassette to multiple cassette....

Also I recommend running a GOOD quality cleaner through each machine after 3-5 runs...

Is there really a market for these things? Maybe I could make a couple bucks...

LOL !!!

What a briliant idea...
Sure I'll do that myself if it's for my purpose only (...guess I'm typical homers...). But hey... this will be used on representative company. What if their clients wanna have look at those ? Gimme a break... :D

Simple... concentrate on buying the wider type cassette units (the ones that are the width of a stereo about 12"??) Mount em in a rack and make sure that your "custom" wireing job is in the rear of the machines. Mount the record "button" near the top of the unit and mount your patch bay in the unit and yer done... Just be sure the rack has slightly tinted glass front and the room is lit like a studio (dim lighting - for ambiance) All they'll see is a bunch of lights hard at work behind some glass...

... it's all in presentation. ;)

Remember this "Perception is reality!" What you percieve to be true IS true ... to YOU. If they percieve you as a professional then they won't even think twice about the "custom" work you've done... and if they do, have a tape ready to play for them... the bottom line is the final result. Correct?

Besides, do you honestly believe professional recoding studios use equipment as is out of the box ALL the time? They do custom bucher jobs to thier equipment all the time. Ya just gotta look for the man behind the curtain Dorothy ;)

It's all smoke and mirrors....

Dammit tanlith... :p ROTFLYIO!!! You're truely homers... Your idea rocks... Now tell me how can I tell my friend to do so... ?  :p :D

Tape Duplicators tape both sides at the sametime. It doesn't take very long per copy. If your looking at doing it for a business, the high dollar dupers are fast and reliable.
I have an older one, I don't use it much since I got a plexiwriter, Im having a CD duplicator built next month, so hopefully I will have more free time to do other things other than duplicating. They have some duplicators that come in 4 and up to 16 per unit. Mine is a telex single copier, they list for about $550, the 16 by 4's are close to $3000. Work great, makes a nice tax write off if you have a business license.

OK... depends on what he plays, though... I'll assume he plays guitar in this example:

(1) Set up an elaborate plan to kidnap Joe Satriani
(2) Lock him in a room with your friend for a month with food as an incentive to learn all he can (and food as an incentive for Joe to teach)

-- Problem solved! --

Lemme know if you need help with the kidnapping... I know people ... :D :D :D :D
