Casio Piano dilemma, 1/4 or 1/8 in. line out?

I've been looking for a good quality and decent priced electric piano that had weigted keys and sounded nice. I actually love the sound of the Casio PX110 and PX310. The 310's only advantage to me is its 60's sounding piano. However the biggest dilemma is I need the ability to run line out to record and perform live, only thing is the PX110 only has two 1/8 in. headphone jacks, and the PX310 has 1/4 in. line outs.
Is this going to make a difference when recording or performing through a PA system? Couldn't the 1/8 in. headphone jacks provide just as clear and clean a signal as the 1/4 in. line outs? Correct me if I'm wrong, any help is greatly appreciated.

Yes, they should be the same. I have the Privia PX-100 (predecessor to the 110, I believe) and have recorded directly from the headphone out (into a Delta 66 souncard) with no problems.

Thanks! Alright I got advice from someone with some rep power! Thats refreshing, cool.

Yeah, don't put too much stock in the whole rep thing. ;)

Technically, the line-outs are different than the headphone outs, but the difference in sound should be negligible if you set your levels correctly.

I've got way more rep than Scrubs, and we've got a Yamaha P60 we really like. It's got 1/4" outs.

on an unrelated note, i also like the electric piano 60s sound on the casio pianos (i have a px400). Just out of curiosity, what other sounds do you like on them? I also like the stereo grand piano sound and the 1st drawbar organ sound a lot.
