Can't Stop Recording

I am having a weird issue all of a sudden with my Pro Tools rig:

Details:

Power Mac G5 OSX 10.5.5
Digi 002 Rack
Pro Tools 8.0.1

Since 2 days ago I am having this issue that whenever I record anything into Pro Tools, when I hit the "space bar" or try to click "stop" it won't stop recording.

When I hit record but don't bring in any audio (don't play anything), it stops right away, but as soon as I play something, it seems to take equally as long to stop as I recorded (EXAMPLE: If i recorded 1 minute of piano, it would take 1 minute to stop after I hit the "stop" command). I already tried re-installing Pro Tools, I even Re-Installed the OSX on Mac, I re put Pro Tools and updated it, and no luck!

Is this an issue with my 002 or something else?

Any input would be appreciated.

thanks.

Screenshots can be helpful with this but for starters have you got "wait for note" on on the transport?

FIXED!!!! For everyone's reference, it was my DIGI 002 Rack that was at fault, after trying all other options to avoid the cost, I ended up going to Guitar Center and getting a DIGI 003 Rack which fired up right away and worked like a charm!

FYI, even though I was mentally ready to spend the $1300 that Guitar Center wanted for it, thanks to their price matching I was able to get it for $799.99

so if your Pro Tools won't stop recording and you've exhausted all other resources it's probably your hardware.

thanks .
