I cant record anything sounds being played through the pc's cd player onto cooledit. Does anyone know how to do this????

i think i know what you're trying to do. try this:
in the windows mixer click on
options > properties
adjust volume for > recording
be sure the CD Audio is checked
then click on OK
then the mixer reappears with the recording devices you checked. make sure CD Audio is selected
that should do it
