Hi guys, I am in need of help. For somereason when I try to use PLugsound VST instrument plugin in fruit loops, my sustain pedal connected to my midi controller doesnt work... But when I turn up the volume on my keyboard (my midi controller) the piano sounds coming from the keyboard itself is sustained but not the sound coming from my VST instruement on my computer. ANyone know what I can do to fix this problem? I use the SB 128 sound card by the way..

THANKS in advance.

Perhaps this VST instrument does not respond to the sustain pedal, or if it does, it's using a different MIDI controller number. The VSTis documentation should tell you.

It appears not to be in the manual about different channels... Could it be that the SB128 midi port doesnt support the sustain pedal? becausebefore i had the SBlive card and when I pressed the pedal, it would work, but then, before I was using sound founds instead of using this plugsound VSTinstrument...

Thanks in advance.

I said different controller numbers, not channels. What softsynth is it? Maybe it doesn't respond to the sustain pedal or any controller messsages.

MIDI ports do not distinguish between types of MIDI messages they pass.

I am using the plugsound vst plugin with Fruity loop studio 4.1

Thanks for helping btw...

OK, on the USB website http://www.usbsounds.com/usb/jsp/editors/usb/news.jsp , there's a news release about the 1.8 version:

Extended MIDI Control
Plugsound now recognizes 29 different MIDI continuous controllers. Almost everything on screen can be driven by a hardware MIDI box, or by drawing controller data in your sequencer, without zippering or other artifacts. This makes Plugsound an expressive and life-like tone module. The complete list is at the end of this document.

The term "now recognizes" suggests to me that it didn't previously. What version do you have?

Thanks for researching it for me. But how do I go about making my sustain pedal work with plugsound? I can't find anything in the panel to enable the sustain pedal to work. OH yeah and i have 1.8 installed
