I work in MIDI, creating, mix, song structure and everything.
Now I'm trying to get into Audio, and I cant, I have Cubase 3.7
way before the Cubase 5. There are a few things different but not much, I can still do Audio.

Thing is I guess the configurations are throwing me off on how to set up, I have Wavelab 3.0, and a few plug-ins, but mostly I have outboard gear, that's why I didnt rely much on AUDIO, but now I'd like to try. If anyone can give me a set-up structure to follow that would be cool.

I've been doing so many tracks (my way) and sounding very well I might add, that I have really neglected the AUDIO part in my system, thing is TIME, I have a session this weekend, trying to finish my CD (ALLERGIES ARE A BEEYOTCH) and my remixes are getting purchased, but I'd like to delve into AUDIO, not that I dont know it, or how to use it, I just havent set it up at home on my system. Oh! I'm running on PC Pent.III, SB Live card (not the greatest I know, but I've been neglecting it ya know)

Thanks for any suggestions or help

Plug into your SBLive line in if it´s line level you want to record or mike/line in for mike. Select the record mixer of the sound card, activating the type of input you want...what u hear, mike2, cd audio, etc. You can select only ONE. On the track in Cubase select the input...MIDI..Audio, etc. Make sure the locators are positioned far enough apart if they´re activated on the transport panal as start/stop in record mode. Press record and pray...Buena suerte.

Audio

Thanks Zardose, that was really helpful, I will attempt to configure this on my free moment
