i haven't used N-track for a while. but i have recorded some tracks lately and want to turn them into mp3's. i go to convert to: and choose mp3. it says i need the BladeEnc put in my n-track folder. even when i try mixing them down and choose the "make an mp3" also. still no workee....

ok, so when i go to the site for this there is quite a selection and mostly older files. none indicate Win XP. i do see some win2k files there.

does anybody know if these work or whether there are newer Blade files i can use for my Win XP Pro? thx, jw

thx guys. wassssup gidge?

1-i tried both of these. now i guess i'm screwed up here. i wanted the conversion to take place within N-track. sooo, where this is going i'm not gonna be able to do that.

2-ok, i'm back to using dbPoweramp. i want to convert my wavs to mp3's BEFORE i put them on a cd. does this do this? if so, i don't get it.

HELP---new stuff making me wacky:D

thx,jw

if you take the BladeEnc.dll file that you get when you unzip that link and place it in the N-Track folder, it should work.......

key word is SHOULD.....

thx gidge, but no it's not working. i see the blade dll file in there and all. i guess i'll get a seperate converter.....!

ooops, first let me go update N-track---been a while since i used it...;)

nix that, i have the latest 3.3 version. still no workee......oh well.:o

Best bet .... mix-down in n, then convert as a separate process with whatever application you want.
The way I see it, after only paying 69 bucks to be able to record unlimited 24 bit tracks with Dx and VST support, I could give a rats arse if I gotta use some other progie to make mp3's.
Grated some want the world for 69 bucks. YMMV

nahh, no biggie. it's just that the last time i used Ntrack i could mix down and make an mp3 at the same time. i've had N-track for at least 4 years. it's all i use.....

When you mix down there is a check box to make an MP3. Did you do that? Um, maybe a dumb question, but why convert to MP3 before burning to CD? Or is it a data CD? Just makin sure you knew MP3s reduce the quality fo the track. :)

uhhh--yup bubba, like i said earlier in the post, i tried all that. it don't work anymore! anyway........i got the outboard proggies now....;)

Doh, I gotta read next time.....

db poweramp

just right click on your .wav file and db will open

yea i like dbpoweramp....

i am also converting old cassette recordings in the 900 to 1 gig range. thats the reason i'm doing mp3's, for storage. but i need to get a dvd recorder to keep the quality of the wavs....maybe soon

I had the same issue develop; I downloaded the blade programs and moved them right into the old blade folder in n-track and it all works again. But I also found that conversion is quicker and easier with a separate program, which I also keep in the n-track folder.

BladeEnc

I recently switched to n-track and am having the same problem.
Found out that I could use Music Match Jukebox to convert to MP3. Works great.
