Hey guys, im a complete noob when it comes to recording
so bare with me please. I recently got the Tapco Link.USB
interface along with the SHURE KSM27 mic. Anyways, I
am looking to just record over instrumentals for fun and record
other friends/people. Tracktion2 came with the Tapco link.usb
interface and I am completely clueless as to how to use it.
I want to be able to add the instrumental to one track and then
record vocals on seperate tracks. I couldn't add the instrumental
mp3 directly to a track, so i had to use LAME in order to process
the .mp3 file into a .wav file.
The instrumental file imports as a .wav file and shows up in my
"projects" tab, but for some reason it says that it "(can't read this
file)". and i dont see any of the visual "sound waves" (is that the right
term? you know when you record, all the "squiggly lines", the louder the sound the bigger the line")
Anyways, pleaes forgive me of my stupidity/noobiness, but we all start
somewhere don't we? If anybody could PLEASE give me some help
on this I would GREATLY appreciate it. THank you so much, cheers!
