Canare or Mogami

For those of you using these two cables, is there a difference in sound quality in a 30' cable? Any pro's or con's to consider?


The Mogami 2549 is about $30 for a 30' cable, on ebay.
The Canare L-4E6S is about $27 for 30'.

Both use gold neutrik. The Canare comes with color coded ends or color cable.

I do about 90% location recording.

Canare seems to strike a good balance of jacket flexibility and durability, for my money. The few Mogamis I've had seem to nick easily, YMMV. I used to use Belden, but of late their jackets are really plasticky and don't uncoil well or lay flat. I still keep a few of those for high-traffic areas.

Both are quality cable and I seriously doubt that you would hear a difference unless you had 24k golden ears (and a perfect monitoring setup and space).
