Obviously I'm still getting used to this device so I really appreciate all your help, but there are some things I just can't seem to find a clear explaination on in the manual, so here goes.....

I've played around with burning songs on the internal CD drive and mixing down. What I want to know is say you have two songs that immediately segue (SEG-WAY?) into each other and they're recorded as one program. Can you "split" the song so they come out as seperate track numbers on the finished CD without putting a pause in the music between the track number change?

Thanks again.

splitting a song during IM

It's as simple as hitting the stop button at the end of the IM for the first song, going back to the recorded tracks (because after Internal Mixdown you are placed in the MIX-> program after the "Please Wait" message), and restarting the IM at the beginning of the second song. You can always set a mark point before you start your initial mixdown.

Don't be fooled by the duration of the second mix or the apparent blank gap at the beginning of the second mix. The blank gap does not appear when burning CD-DA mixdowns. The clipboard IN and OUT points determine what will be saved as a CD-DA audio file, not the total duration of the track.

If you want to save portions of your long program as WAV files (i.e., what you did above but as WAV files), set the Clipboard IN point to the beginning of the desired save, the Clipboard OUT to the end of the desired save, and select the "Clipboard" option when executing a WAV backup save.

Good luck,
