Can you move projects between CW products?

I walk the line
I have been advised by someone I trust that CW products are the way to go. I have an old copy of Express that I've used and I liked the interface. I am unsure as to how powerful a program I'm likely to need in the near future. You'd think the CW website would have a comparison chart, but noooo...

Anyway, what I want to know is if I get something like one of the Home Studio or Guitar Tracks products and I want to upgrade to Sonar later on, can I move what I recorded in HS or GT to Sonar without converting each individual track one at a time? Surely I can, but just thought I'd better make positive.

Yup, you can.

HS is pretty damn impressive. I am using it now and I have SONAR ( computer died, cant find my SONAR CD). For the way I work, it has absolutely everything I need, so it is worth checking out before investing in SONAR.

Thanks. You don't happen to know where there's a comparison chart, do you?

Thanks, Spin, but unfortunately none of those compare all of the CW products to each other, which is what I was looking for.

I really wanted something that compares all the GT's and HS's and Sonars in one big table. Oh,well. I'll figure it out. Thanks anyway.

I just thought of another question

So I'll hijack my own thread for once.

If you can move projects vertically upward, product-wise (something created in Home Studio can be imported to Sonar), can you move them vertically downward as well? Can sometrhing created in Sonar be imported to Home Studio or Guitar Tracks? Also, are there problems moving things between versions? For instance, can someone with an older version of Home Studio import something made in a newer version?

Zo many kvestions for zuch a little boy!

Help me, Mr. Wizard!
