Hi RAMI!

I don't think your volume is down..but more being thinness of everything..usually your stuff is layered thick with energy, but this one has a *nakedness* to it..now, if that were a naked energy or raunchiness I was referrring to, then....

Just fatten up the guits..thump up the kick..snap up the snare..boom out the bass..and gut out those vocals...just a few tweaks here and there is all...:D

No matter what...this still has the Ramster's sig all over it.

guitar levels could come down a bit. the kick sounds a bit too punchy. Could use more low end from the bass too.

Thanx to both of you. I'm still working on this and both your posts help a lot!!!

Of course I can did it and always do!! :D Your stuff should be taught in engineer school ;) I like the tune, not one of my Rami favs, but it still has all the classic flavors in there. u-rok!
:D

I'm with everyone else. The backups sounded like synth pads. Other than that, however, it's classic Rami. Interesting topic... I wonder where the lyrics came from.. (didn't read the previous comments thoroughly, so I apologize if I missed someone asking the same thing)

Thanx Brad.

You must have dug this thread out of page 3 or 4. I thought it was dead. :)

That's actually a cool thing, especially since there's no effect other than reverb on them.
I wonder where the lyrics came from..
I decided to write a song about Indian Summer, but make it vague, like it could be about a person.

I ain't no Shakespeare. I'm just happy when I find words that rhyme and I make it to the end of a song

It was barely on page 2! I'm a little slow, have a habit of diggin' up old threads, and often do all my listening in one week.

Ah, no problem. It had been so long, I had almost forgotten about it. I do the same thing. I end up missing some good tunes, but I have to be in the mood to listen to other people's stuff. And when I am, I end up listening to a bunch of stuff at the same time.

This is pretty cool. What's missing to my taste is a guitar riff to match the bass - the bass is doing the heavy lifting OR the bass is too different to the guitar.
Your rhythms are so rockfunky that it's probably that tension. The chorded vocals are rreally good & they sort of match the Brian Mayish parts to the solo though a mix without that chord vocal would be interesting to A & B.
Oh, great tracking mate - I don't hear the pitch issue in the solo but then again I'm cloth eared at best.
By the way the new album is REALLY REALLY COOL! It's getting high rotation at my place.

Listening as I type without reading anyone's comments.

The bass needs more lows. It doesn't fill up my speakers well. I like this one, it's like... 90's awesomeness meets classic rock. The song itself is cool, but it's missing something. It's not full enough. I can't really place my finger on it. The song is catchy so far. I haven't lost interest. I'm at the freezin' in the rain again part. Nice lyrics on this one. A few tweaks and you should be golden. Acoustic guitars would sound good on this one.

Thanx Squibble. I haven't heard this in a couple of weeks, so I think I'm ready to go back and listen fresh again. I'll probably end up hearing a lot of the issues that everyone pointed out. Thanx for the comments and advice.

Gave it a listen and liked it. Been listening to your tunes on and off for about five years now and, well, they are generally pretty reliable. Competent production and good songs. I'm suprised to read that you are anti-synth though.

I'm not anti-synth. That accusation is based on heresay and innuendo...and I might have said I was anti-synth a few hundred times. But, besides that, there's no reason to believe it. :D

Thanx for the listen K. We've been hearing each other 's music since the days of the old TASCAM forum, if I'm not mistaken. Your productions were always a notch above everything else going on over there.
