I have a new dedicated CPU for recording with HS2002 installed in it. I have another computer with Guitar tracks2 that contains multiple projects in varying degrees of completion. I would like to extract those projects from that computer and load into computer B in Home Studio 2002 so I may continue to edit/add and complete these projects.. Can this be done? I have a CD burner in the original computer if that helps... Thanks!!

I think so, within whatever limitations there might be in Home Studio compared to Guitar Tracks. I don't know what they are, but I recall that HS has some limit on the number of tracks you can have... if that's true, and your GT projects had more than this number, you might have problems.

The important thing is, if you have digital audio in these projects, you need to save them in the Cakewalk bundle format. The project files just contain the MIDI data. project data, and pointers to the audio data in the audio data directory.

The solution was actually quite simple and I'll post it so as to possibly help someone else down the road.
Simply save unfinished works as Cakewalk bundles(individually)and burn to data cd. I was able to open with CW Home studio 2002 and continue on easily. It loaded just like it left GT2:)
