Hey there,

I am around this board now for a couple of years now, maybe you noticed me around.

What I'm writing for is that I'm finishing recordings of my Dutch 'britrock 'n roll'-band this week, and will be mixing and all in two weeks, when I return from holiday (fresh ears). I was wondering if I could send someone who's intereseted the tracks in wave-format after that for a master, and how much it will cost me.

It's quite a serious project, no burned cd's or home-folded artwork in here, but we don't have a lot of money to spend, in fact we're lending everything.

I know there are quite a few around here who would like to get their hands on this 6-song project for a soft price, maybe someone who would like to get some more experience with it (it hasn't has to be super-commercial, since there's no label or something involved, even though it's going to be released quite largely).

It would be great if someone has some spare time in two or three weeks and we'll work out a price. Nothing is free, I know :)

Thanks!
Maarten.

I'm sure Sosob would be willing, and would do a fine job at that!

Who the hell is Sosob? :D

Sounds familiar, I think someone might've sold him a crappy EQ for way too much money. Either that or he found a reverb unit that works wonders.

Yeah, I've been hearing rumours about that wonderbox - what was it? A behringer reverb or something that's supposed to be killer for mastering! All you need, really :)

I'd like to give one of your tracks a try. Hey, if you end up liking it I'm out for experience right now, so I'm cheap.

For grins and giggles, would you like to master something I mixed?

Honestly, I know d**k about mastering, so it might be a hoot.

Yo F--sia=Maarten:

Contact BLUE BEAR and he will do a very good job of mixing. And, he is friendly to this forum and members.

Good work is not free, unless you marry the sister of the mixer AND, sometimes it's not free either.

Well, contact Blue Bear and discuss your work, etc.

Green Hornet :) :D

Um, I think he wants someone to MASTER his music.

Bear doesn't master, he's already indicated he outsources that.

Im not a mastering engineer but i can still take a listen and try and do what mastering i can in the studio for yah. I wouldnt charge anything. I wouldnt pay anyone but a real professional mastering engineer. Because there would be a good chance that it would come out sounding worse than it was.

So ill do it for free. If you like it then use it if you dont like it then dont use it. No big deal. Only 6 songs? Of course like i said it wont be a full mastering job, but i can at least listen and try and fix the major audible problems im hearing and try and tighten things up. Even a completely fresh ear and perspective can really help things out.

let me know if your interested and ill throw out my gmail address.

Danny

Yeah im well up for it. Ill try to bring the best out of your project by carefully using parametric EQ, phase EQ, compression, multiband compression and what ever else the project may need.
Ill look forward to hearing from you.

Graeme.

@ Falken, Linchpin, Darnold & Ecktronic: That's just too great! Thanks a lot guys, I will PM you as soon as it's ready to be mastered!
