if someone could help me it would be great, im new to this site by the way, but i have computer. and i wanna get a simple mic that will sound as good as i can get....and be able to plug it into the computer so that i can record.....can somoene help me out?? because the mic i wanted to get ...i was told i couldnt hook it up to the computer, if someone could help me out i would really appreciate it.

You can hook up any dynamic mike to your computer, but you may need an adaptor to go from the end of the cable to the mike input on your soundcard. You can buy a cheap mike or an expensive one; your budget, your choice.

Whether this will result in sound as good as you want is another matter.

What do you want to record?

"As good as i can get" is a very broad statement, and will result in people saying you need a decent mike, pre-amp, soundcard, recording software and monitors.

Without these, it is going to be difficult to get anything reasonable.

What are you trying to do with it? Voiceovers? Vocals? Guitar? Single or multiple tracks? All of this factors into what kind of setup will work best for you.

go for one of those samson large condensers that output usb. or the blue snowball usb condenser. i t hink that would be the most simple method. good luck to you.
