can someone explain the different types of condenser mics for me? ex, tube, cardoid?

i dont know anything about what these things mean? can someone explain to me please?

i know the difference between a small diaphragm condenser and a large diaphragm condenser, but what is a tube condenser, or cardoid or super cardoid condenser? and all the other labels? im searching for a vocal mic and i want to know what i am getting, i have no education on recording, can somebody please inform me, what i should be looking for when choosing a vocal mic, i know that different mics and mic placement and eq for different voices and situations, i just want to know the technical stuff, please
