I've got a Tascam 2416 board that I'm thinking of taking apart for cleaning and repairing a couple of loose faders...

How hard is this to do? Removing all the knobs and nuts seems easy enough--how 'bout the XLR and RCA section of the board, where small Phillips screws seem to be holding everthing together...?

Love to hear from you if you've ripped one of these apart...is the board user-friendly to take apart and clean?

First i"ll say I've never done what you want to do.
Next I'll add that you will lose your warranty if you do this yourself (I'll assume you knew this but you never know)
What meager help I can give you (which you may already know) is to point you to Tascams website. I think it's pretty informative and some of the people there actually do seem to know what they're talking about.
Go to the support- mixer section you can do a search for your mixer or just post a thread.
I know it's not a lot of practical help but it may lead to some.
