Can I use Studiomix to send program change messages in real time

I want to be able to record program changes while I'm playing in MIDI notes. Needs to be quick and painless, just hit a button when I need to change patches.

I already have a Peavey Studiomix. Does anyone know if it can do this? It uses NRPNs so its a bit different from most MIDI control surfaces, and I don't know how adaptable it is.

I know the Kenton Control Freak can do it, but I'd like to avoid buying another box if I can help it.

Well, I don't have the device you mentioned. But the advantage of MIDI and SONAR, is you can record any incoming MIDI data, and transform it (edit the type and value) latter You may try it out yourself (make sure the Recording Filter is set to recieve particular MIDI message). If it doesn't work, try to edit the type & value in Event View. Refer to MIDI Implementation Chart of your instrument
