I have a SB Audigy that seems to work OK, but I hear that CEP doesn't like them? I have an MBOX, but as I recall I need to use ASIO, which I did with Ntracks - I forget how that works - and dont know if the program supports it.

Of should I just stick with my SB?

i got cep and a mbox, but i dont think they work together. cep doesnt see my mbox. why not just record in pro tools and if you need cep for something just open the file you recorded with PT in cep.

Thanks Roy,
I guess I can try that - but Pro Tools has been a mystery to me and I'v never been able to figure it out, maybe I need to take the time to learn it. Was just hoping to go thru the MBox, of my SB Audigy seems to work OK

To the best of my knowledge, all of the Digidesign and Pro Tools stuff is proprietary, and will only interface with one another. So I would guess that no, you can't use the M-Box with CEP. Perhaps one of the M-Audio USB or Firewire units would work for you.

Yep, I think you guys are right. I WAS able to make the Mbox work with Ntracks by using ASIO, but apparently this program wont do that. So I guess I'll have to stick with the SB set up unless there's a complelling reason to go out and buy yet another sound card?

or instead of buying the mbox you could have bought the tascam 428 but it has one problem with c.e.p. 2.0 and that is when you are recording and trying to "double" a vocal it will never be right don't know if playback is sluggish or recording is sluggish either way it's not right
