what's up with this product verification stuff? so i can't use anybodys XP cd? if that's so, then that sucks. i read that you have to register in 30 days or else it wont' work. can you register twice? i'm confusd. if it's true, then i'm just going to install 2000, cuz apparently it's good as well.

thanks!

No. You'll have to activate and you will risk violating the license.

They are only enforcing what has always been part of the license agreement that you probably don't read since Windows 3.1.

If you don't like the fact that they are enforcing their policies then by all means don't use the product.

disbelief

"Whats up with these locks on car doors man? So like I can't use my friends car whenever I want to? Man this really sucks!"

"Whats up with the security system on that rich dudes house? So like I can't go in there and eat food out of his refrigerator anymore? That really sucks."
