Can I get some honest feedback on this?

This is a song i'm currently working on; a finger-picking number, with a few jazzy solos played over it.

Though I haven't yet finished the mix, how do you rate it so far? What do you feel is missing, and what can be improved upon? Do the various instruments seem independent from each other or are they clashing?

Well this piece is way above me but what I did notice is a terrible fret buzz from that main guitar part.

Im pretty sure Ive heard this song alooooooong time ago when i dropped acid.

Yeh, I have my strings tuned really low, hence the fret-buzz...I kind of like that effect though.

Would anyone else like to give feedback?

I got bored at the beginning.

the guitar sound is very ambient if that's what you're going for. It almost sounds like you were just making it up as you went, not a really tight performance, or not a really coherent part...if it's what you were going for it's fine, but I didn't like it much. the 1:30 intro could have been 15 seconds and I would have cut another 5 seconds off.

Then once the song gets going you just add more sounds. I'm not sure how to critique these recordings because it's so different. if you like the sounds then it's cool.

Hi mate,

just listening to your song now...real nice ambient feel to it. i would say that when the solos are playing the acoustic/rhythm guitar could do with being a little quieter, takes my attention away from the nice solo when i hear a sudden twang on the acoustic. the fret buzz is a cool effect by i feel it may happen a bit too much/too loud. apart from that the piece is nice, maybe a little repetitive but i think that could be easily fixed by adding a few more layers in and slight variations. i dont think the instruments clash in any way, just a few level adjustments here and there.
