Can I do better than this? Give me your worst.

Okay, so here's my latest little mix, the drums and guitar on Guerilla Radio by rage.

I realize that they are not in sync towards the end, but the beginning sounds nice, to me at least.
But what I really want is harsh criticism so I can make this sound better. Right now I'm using a TASCAM 424MKII, 2 shure sm57s, an akg c1000s, and an ADC EQ to mix down to a computer.
You know, it's tough posting under such *good* recordings like "summer song"... :P

sounded pretty good, ya gonna throw some bass on it?....some panning/separation would be cool to give the mix some space...everything sounded middle to me...gibs

ishou, sounded a little bit loose. I agree with gibs, a little panning/separation would be nice. Try and play the guitar part on one track and then play it again on another track and pan one to the left and one to the right... how far you spread is up to you. I use this technique alot on my tunes here: http://www.mp3.com/smartapple

I'd like to hear a bass in your track... spread the guits out, phatten with bass. Although it sounds loose as it is, I still got that "I wanna thrash around" feeling, so that's a good thing. Were you playing the drums too?

This was actually just a test, so we probly won't do anything more with this particular mix. I'm not exactly sure why either, but the guitar and drums are off. It has something to do with the fact I mixed them down at different times and mixed them with a wav editor. And I didn't play either instrument, actually...I just did the mixing/recording...
