Can I back up my 1680 to SCSI Tape Drive?

My best guess is that Roland would have to provide a driver for the 1680 in order to properly access the SCSI tape drive in order for you to back up directly to it via the VS SCSI port. I know that the CD-R didn't even support backup/restore operations until Roland updated the operating system on the 880.
If you can get the song file onto the PC then you could back them up to the tape drive that way. I have had limited success transferring the Roland song format directly to PC for backups, so I really couldn't help much with that.
