Contact creative labs. Usually they reply.

I'm still waiting for a replay from them for a few days now.
IS there any actual upgrades / performance for midi from the SBLive and the Audigy 2 ZS. Otherwise, why spend the extra $$$
Might have caught them. Sure all other audio and 7.1 enhancements are hyped, but will any midi features, etc enhanced on the A2-ZS

Yes you can do multitracking with the Audigy, though it will be at most 2 simultaneous mono tracks.
The greatest advantage of the Audigy over the Live is the fact that the Audigy is a 24 bit card ..... Live is only a 16 bit card.

thanks,
i will use it then fora simultaneous guitar and vocal recording for demos.i m not aware of if it has any major upgrades when midi is concerned, but i personally dont think so.

I got this reply from Creative on Friday about Soundblaster MIDI enhancements, or lack of

Question:
Your website information about MIDI capabilities is
somewhat vague, and could use some enhancements in this
area.

What additional information is there about MIDI, and
Soundfonts included with the install CD. I contacted
Soundfonts and they directed me to contact Creative.

What soundfonts are included with the Audigy 2 ZS ?

I currently have a SB PCI-128 which came with 2, 4 and 8
meg soundfonts. What enhancements can I expect with the
Audigy 2 ZS in respects to MIDI versus the PCI-128 ?
Is the upgrade for MIDI purposes significant ?

I don't care about extra surround sound capabilities, or
DVD, all I want is MIDI and the usage of the synthesizer
chip on the Sound Blaster.

Answer:
John,

There is not much difference between the sound cards as far as Midi
goes. It comes with the 2,4, and 8 meg SFs. The playback of the SF
will be a higher quality, because the cleaner signal that it produces.
