Can anyone recommend...

Anyone know of a solution / cleaner to fix "scratchy pots" on a mixer, portasudio, effects, etc.??? Something I could buy,..or a home remedy?
Any help is appreciated.

PS: Sometimes scratchy Pots and Faders are Just Plain worn out so if the deoxit doesn"t work you might need to replace the pots ....

The stuff Rat Shack sells works well enough, and is easy to find.

Sorry , I have never used deoxet I have just heard that it is good stuff ......

I usually put my pots in a sonic bath with a mild solvent but that entails removeing the pots ....

is the one people have been using in studios for 30+ years. It might seem expensive but you don't use a lot at a time and a can like that lasts me about a year... I don't leave home without it!

Years ago I use to get "color TV tuner cleaner" and that worked great ....don't know if rat shack still sell it though. For these are different times and different TVs.
