hi there, I'm using cakewalk pro 9.03 and I have a delta 44 sound card. It was all fine the day before yesterday, and i was able to record and everything. Now I don't know what has changed but the soundcard is not showing up as a device to play into or out of. I ran the wave profiler and it worked fine. I uninstalled and then reinstalled cakwalk and it seems fine. and it even plays the demo songs that are in the program. But MiDI OMNI, and wavetable gs and midi mapper are my choices when i look at the track properties. I don't have any driver conflicts or anything. It worked the other day, and I don't know what I did, but it's all wanged up! Please help. thanks a lot!!

Try uninstalling Cakewalk and the Delta drivers. Then reinstall them both. Cake first.

The same thing happened to me.

I've the same problem Jason has, I think.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times over the past few months. I'm afraid I'm going to wear Sonar out before I ever use it.

I have a sound blaster live sound card and a Delta 66 with the omni i/o mixer

I go to Options/Midi Devices,
the Input has listed,
SB Live Midi In (9020)
Roland MPU-401
TTS Virual Piano In

and the output is listed as
SBLive Midi Out (9020)
Midi Mapper
Creative S/W Synth
A: SB Live Midi Synth
B: SB Live Midi Synth
Roland MPU-401

Nothing about Delta 66 here.
I've picked them all over the past few months, in every combination I can think of. No sound.

Then in the Options/Audio/General,
The Playback is 1: WavOut 3/4 Delta-66
The Record is 1:PCM In 3/4 Delta-66
Buses 2
Mains 4
Bit depth 16
Sample 44100 Bit Depth 16
Buffer Playback Queue, 4
Slide Buffer in the middle
I run the wave profiler also, it's fine.

In the Options/Audio/General,
I haven't messed with that. It's still on the default.

In the Options/Audio/Input,
There is one listing no matter what the other settings are,
PCM in 3/4 Delta-66

In the Options/Audio/General,
Input:
1: SB Live Wave in (9020)
2: PCM In 1/2 Delta-66
3: PCM In 3/4 Delta-66
4: S/PDIF In Delta-66
5: Mon.Mix Delta-66

Output:
1: SB Live Wave Out (9020)
2: WavOut 1/2 Delta-66
3: WavOut 3/4 Delta-66
4: WavOut S/PDIF Delta-66

In the Options/Audio/Driver Profiles,
It has two choices in the drop down menu.
1. SB Live Wave 9020 (1 in, 1 out)
2. Delta-66 1/2 (4 in, 3 out)
I'll set this one for the Delta-66, but when I come back it's reset at the SB Live.

I've read the book, Sonar Manual/Delta 66 Manual/Omni i/o Manual and have uninstalled and reinstalled many times. I don't know where to go from here. My last resort I guess is to call Sonar and/or M Audio.
PA9 worked fine back in July/August on the SB Live Card. Then I got Sonar and the Omni Studio. I uninstalled PA9. Then I got the XL, still no sound.
I can get sound from the Sound Blaster Live Card though. But not from the Omni Studio.

From the Control Panel/System/Properties, everything is fine there. The Delta Driver is being used.

The M Audio Delta Control Panel Settings:
I don't remember right now what the default settings are, but they never made a peep either. I've changed them again and again trying to find the right combination of settings along with the differnt settings in the Options menu in Sonar.

Does anyone use the Omni Studio? If anyone does, could you please tell me what your settings are?

I'd like to use Sonar XL. All I've been recording on is my VS840GX. That's no fun.
Any ideas or settings will be much appreciated.

You could also go to the Cakewalk and M-Audio sites to post this question. (Just in case you don't get the proper response from this BBS).
