dastrick

huh???
The ones that I've used are very limited as in very few fonts, only a couple of places that I can put text, or I have to use a template. I just want more editing capabilities.

Anybody got any recommendations?

Hey, that looks like just what I need. Do you know if I can use it on two seperate computers?

And I didn't see a Gold Bundle, but that's ok I already use Cubase. :D

Thanks.

Yes, you can load the program onto a few PCs.
Acoustica will ask what you are up to if you do it to any more than that. (understandable)
I have mine on 3 PCs in the home. They suggest 2.
Also, this one can burn more than one Lightscribe disc at a time.
Tell them Jim Lad sent you.;)

This will probably be the last time that i use Lightscribe. I only had 4 words on the cd and it took 6 minutes to burn (at first) then I got it down to 3 minutes. That's rediculous.

Whatever turns your crank.
I thought you knew about Lightscribe or I would have gone into detail for you.
A proper label takes about 30 mins. and depending on how dark you want it, you may choose to do it twice.
The Lightscribe download site provides two labeling programs, the Simple Labeler and something else, which will label your Cds in a few minutes but not a proper labeling suite.
Have you looked at Inkjet printable discs?
They've come a long way from CD Stomper days.

That's probably what I'm going to move to. Inkjet discs. I just need to find me a good, cheap inkjet cd printer.

I paid $100 for an HP printer and about $30 a pop for the coloured refills. Black lasts longer.
Pre-Coated discs in slim cases work out at around $1 a piece.
Costco also sells silver Inkjet printable discs.
I defy anyone to tell the difference between them and the mass produced version.
AND..... again, the perfect suite for labels and covers is the Acoustica CD/DVD Labeler which I already recommended.

About how many discs do you get out of a color cartridge?

Depends on what your printing, if you keep it minimal, they will last a long time (think how many pics your inject does on one cart). If you print a black background, not so long. It is just a special tray for a normal inject printer..

It really varies.
Have a look at the size of the ink cartridges when you're checking out the printers.
An extra $100 for a printer with bigger cartridges will pay for itself fairly quickly.
I'm a dab hand at refilling cartridges by now and have taken to having my covers copied at "Staples" when I'm doing a decent sized run.
There many ways to save money without compromising quality.
I still have one album which is Lightscribe.
I have three other discs which were Lightscribe and were designed on Acoustica's software. When I got the printer, I changed the settings so that those two albums are now printed on the silver discs. Something that Acoustica software enables you to do.
