Can a pop filter be used with a dynamic mic if it's placed on a stand not handheld.

And If yes will it be better than the foam windscreen because it makes me sound dull?

Yes, but foam windscreens and pop filters have slightly different functions.

Windscreen is for situations with a lot of windy sound. Right?
I would rather go with the pop filter and make one at home :D

I record most of my vocals with a dynamic mic and a pop filter.

Why wouldn't you be able to use a pop filter with a dynamic? It's not like the functionality of changing the sound before it gets to the microphone is different between the two.

Imagine trying to buy a pair of closed cup headphones if you were vulcan!

For recording I would use a pop screen. For live I would use a windscreen.

If you spew splosives then you need a pop screen, regardless of mic.

Yes, did it in my recording session last night for plosives. Works well. Though I do place it closer to the mic than I do with condensers.

That's why Spock and Uhura always used those bluetooth earpieces (long before they were invented...)

Not spamming!!

Brainwashed - SuperBoy - Official Music Video - YouTube this is the sound I get with my mic at present with an xlr to 3.5mm jack cable. I'm going to buy the focusrite 2i2 interface but at present It's not available from the place I'm buying.

So I wanted to ask that is my microphone of good quality as it's a local company I live in India not Shure etc .

Just curious?

How would we know if your mic is any good if you don't provide details? Chances are, if its an Indian brand, no one outside your country will know anything about it.
What we can tell you is that using XLR to 3.5mm adapter and plugging directly into yoru computer's soundcard is NOT going to get good results!

check out the video. The song was recorded through the mic with my current setup
