I finally got time to get back on this pet project of mine and finish it.

I wrote this tune a year ago and did a very rough scratch mix.
Then it sat for a long time until recently. I think I posted the very rough scratch mix a while back but this mix is way better so forget about it if you heard the first version.

The guitar sounds are supposed to have that far away middle eastern type instrument tone, no vintage tube amp sounds on this one.

Anywho, I had a vision of riding a camel through the desert when I wrote this tune. It's an instrumental.

Hope someone out there likes it.

cool tune!
definitely has the camel riding thru the desert vibe to it...
the guitar sound is pretty edgy...i like it! what'd ya use?
mixwise, the ching ching guitar parts on the far right are a little hot..... i think they'd be more effective if they were further back in the mix, where you have to really listen for them.... that'll draw you into the depth of the mix more..
at 3:50 long, the melody and head being in the same key throughout gets a bit repetitive....
it'd be cool to hear a modulation at around 1:28... so that the whole next section is done in a new key..
that'd break up the song just right...
then at 1:56 you could come back in the original key..
it'd also be nice to hear some real hand percussion (versus the programmed stuff) come in and out throughout, so it'd have a more 'human' vibe to it... as it is.. it's very programmed feeling on the backing tracks.
but it's still cool.....
another modulation at 2:50 would be nice...
and back to the original key at 3:15-
just suggestions, i know from my own instrumentals, i struggle with trying to keep similar melodies interesting, and most 'non-guitarists' have a pretty limited attention span, if you fall into similar patterns (one key for an entire song) you lose em pretty fast.
nice strong melodies, and i like the 'free' solo section

I do remember one older version.
This one is sounding nice but drum track is living a life of it's own.
Rhythm is fine, it's fiitting nice but ambience and sound are not 100%.
Have you considered to use some oriental drum kit?

Anyway, overall is very good!

I must admit I put the drums on auto pilot. :o

I'll go back and mess with it some more.
