Calrec CM 654a

I bought an old calrec mic of of ebay a few day ago. Well it got here...along with oodles of noise. I'm getting everything from radiostations to crackles out of this thing.

I've put it in a case with some silica gel. Hopefully that fixes the problem. The seller described it as being in "good" condition, so maybe it accumulated some moisture in-transit.

In the mean time, if you have any other ideas on what the problem could be, post 'em. This is a phantom powered FET microphone.

When I encounter mics in that condition I leave them powered up in front of a radio or other sound source for a few days. If the condition doesn't change, I have it looked at by a tech.
