Hello to the grand wizards who know so much mo than me.
Thanks for reading this post. Advice/comments welcome.
I am converting a workshop - a 12' x 9.5 x 8' ceiling room within my garage space - into a project studio. It will be used primarily for recording direct and mixing. I will occassionally run a mic out into the rest of the garage for tracking an amp or vocal. An engineer friend tells me that all the boxes, old furniture, high ceiling with rafters full of more junk - will help make this room usable for tracking.
My rough plan is to add material to the interior of the existing walls. One is attached to the inside wall of the house, one to the front of the house and the other two are free standing. Cement floor. See attached jpg. I haven't built or installed the mixing desk. It's a placeholder.
I've just cleared the space out. Preparing to get to work on it.
Thanks, Bill
