Ok. I just finished putting up a bunch of insulation on the exterior walls. Yes I wore a longsleeve shirt and mask. Still, some fibers must have gotten to my brain. As I was standing there breathing in my own hot breath in the mask my eye caught a stack of tires in the corner of the building.
I know this sounds crazy but does anyone know how a cylindrical stack of tires (let's say 4 high) and stuffed with filler (old carpet foam, etc) would react to low frequencies? Sure it has a lot of mass but would low (bass) frequencies be able to pass through the rubber to be absorbed? They could be stacked on a dolly for easy movement and covered with some type of material for appearance.
I've got a bullseye on my forehead so someone relieve this craziness.

. Say, I think I've still got an old engine block behind the shop I can stick in there!!! No wait. It's chained onto the tractor disc harrow so that's out.
