Cakewalk to Roland VS2480

Hello all...

I am currently using Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 - and a drummer I hooked up with has a Roland vs2480. We're looking for ideas on how we can take projects from cakewalk and work with them on the Roland...and vice-versa.

Any thought's would be appreciated.

It depends on how you want the two to work together. I have done a lot of work transferring tracks from a VS-880 to Cakewalk while syncing the PC with the VS via midi. S/PDIF or analog out of the VS to the appropriate IN on the soundcard. Keep in mind there is resampling involved. Also, you may want to keep the tracks where they are, but play them back in sync. This can be done, too.

If you want a true file transfer from the VS into the PC, it's involved, but has been addressed in different ways at www.vsplanet.com

Do a search on Cakewalk or Sonar over there.
