Is anyone familiar with this book? Pluses, minuses?

Thanks,
Chern

I haven't read this book, but so far I've gotten by pretty good with the Cakewalk Manual and Online Help.

It is also helpful to run through the tutorials at least one time (tedious, but helpful).

i just got my copy of this book, and for someone like myself- (brand new to digital recording) it seems to be very easy to understand and written for beginners yet, by looking ahead i see there are a lot of nifty tricks that will be covered in the later chapters.
what can you lose for $23.50?
:)

I purchased the book. I would have to say that if
you have the manual you are O K, He pretty
much narrates the operating manual.

Sound forge power on the hand is worth it
because sound forge does not include a hard
copy of a manual. They do however have a 387
page online manual (pdf).

I bought Cakewalk Power right after I got 9.0, I recomend the book. I was able to find stuff in it right away that I had searched for in the manual for an hour.

I found the book to be really useful. Much better than the on line help, with some great tips. If you are a Pro 9 user, well worth the $... not sure about the applicability if you plan to upgrade to Sonar...

Good luck.

Thanks to all for the input!

I just got the book today and it appears to be exactly what I was looking for!

Thanks again.
