This might be a newbie thing, but I have been using Cakewalk to record drum parts and when I try to overdub it will not play the other tracks while I record. Is there a way to do this?

A full duplex soundcard will allow you do to this. You my have a half duplex soundcard - sounds like it is time for an upgrade, you have just outgrown it. Research your card's specs to be sure.

Yeah, and make sure you have simultaneous playback/record checked in the record options menu.
