I have an SBLive Platinum, Tascam TM-D1000, and Cakewalk. I am in the process of recording the drums for a song. I would like to put different mics on different tracks. Is this possible?

I was thinking to use the different inputs of the SBLive somehow. I have the tmd1000 on the line in. I have two other mic inputs on the card open. Could I use the line in for the tmd1000, the mic input 1 for another mic, the mic input 2 for another mic, and put them all on three separate tracks? If anyone uses the sblive w/ cakewalk or has some suggestions any info would be appreciated.

I'm not sure about the platinum.

I have the SBLive Value, which has 2 input ports: a line-in (which is stereo) and a mic input.

As far as I know, you can only record from one of these at a time. The max. amout of tracks I can record simultaneously is 2.

To do this, I have to select line-in as my recording source and use the left-right channels as tracks 1 and 2.

In cakewalk I set 1 track source to "left sblive wave-in" and another track to "right sblive wave-in".

I think this is the most you can do with SB Live Value. I don't know if the Platinum has expanded multitracking capabilities.
