Depends on your setup. What type of inputs and outputs does your mixer and soundcard have and how many? Balanced or unbalanced? Is your microphone a 1/4" connector or XLR?
How many instruments do you need to record at once, this will determine how many cables you need for Microphones (usually XLR). This also determines how many cables coming out of your mixer to the input(s) of your soundcard.
