I am looking for a high quality cable for the run from mixer insert to soundcard (not monster I had a bad experience with my home theater set-up).

Give markertek.com a buzz. They do ALL types of cables. I've had no problem with the cables I got from them.
If you want to spend more, I guess you can check out Zaoella Long Ranger Silver soaked cables. I have one I use for my vocal mics--it's good but maybe a bit pricy.
