what kind of cable should i use from a mixer to a PA or to a Recorder....?

Instrument...Speaker...Ect....

Use balanced TRS cables whenever possible. Use unbalanced TS cables for instruments.

For the speakers, use 12awg speaker cable. If you use mic/instrument cable for that purpose, you will start a fire.
