C12 VR or ELUX 251?

Taking the slow road
just for info, am I reading this right? that they ELUX is going for the C12/ELAM 250/251 sound?

If so, what do the experienced ears say.

(not that I'll be getting either anytime soon$$$ :eek: )
 
I'm sure all of the guys on this forum who regularly use these two mics, like all the time, will have a lot of input in to this question.

Can't think of anyone on this board who doesn't have at least 6 of each of these mics, come to think of it, Junplugged.

Myself ... I'd say that 2 or 3 of my ELAMS sound almost exactly like my C-12 collection. But the other 6 or 7 of them sound much more like my U-47s. But I guess it all depends on which U-47 you're talking about.
