buzzing after Palm muting problem.

So I bought an Ibanez grg120bdxl. I'm playing on a peavey VIP 2. When I play on my distortion (volume knob all the way up), I palm mute the strings and hear this buzzing sound that dismisses about 2 seconds after Palm muting. When I turn my volume knob almost all the way down it stops. I'm not able to get the distortion I want. I'm using the guitar cable that comes with the guitar, but I doubt that is the problem. It seems as f it's a problem with the pick ups or some kind of grounding issue. Can someone please help me to eliminate this problem?
 
Try another amp.
"We" had a palm mute problem with the very first HT-5s, not a buzz but caused by too much gain at a specific point in the pre amp chain.
