Yeah, what you need to do is tape the snare, but you need to do it with Quantegy Gold tape, with a panasonic condenser ripped out of an old rotary phone. Just sodder the wires right into the tape itself, one on the right wheel, one on the left. Then throw it in a fish tank. That will give you that extra-spacioius reverb you've been seeking. Immediately after, and this is the most important step, put the fish from the fish tank into your pants and run through the nearest WalMart screaming "I have a fish in my pants!!" After that, post an MP3 in the Rack section of this BBS. That is where people go to hear MP3's. Then release yor bowels and crap all over yourself. Yay!

And ya know.........

If the tape gets old and worn out....
You can take it off ...boil it...re-apply the adhesive and voila!
Good as new...n'est pas?:D

Hey Sonusman...

um... it's March the 7th man... April 1st is like 24 days away.

hey Ed!

Get the bass amp out of there!!! Quick!

Or fire the drummer!

or the bassist...

If you tape it it will sound different (gee I'm smarter than I thought)
really...are you recording bass & drum live in a small room?

Try pointing the bass amp's axis to another side, I know low freqs have a larger wavelenght and they "pass across" obstacles, but it may help... I assume you are using a mic in front of the amp cabinet, otherwise, it will make no sense to turn that amp on...use headphones...

Oh...! I see...you are talking about rehaersals...right? you hate the snares sizzling...so do I... well, if you are not recording, then tape it! or throw away the snare drum and replace it with a frying pan :D

Peace...
