Is it okay to buy Cakewalk software that has already been registered? and anyone have the sys-req for cakewalk 9.
I have a:

Shuttle mainboard model ai61 with amd chipset 756
AMD 800mhz t-bird
256mb pc133
SB pci 128
G-force 3 ti200
Hauppauge win/tv card
40 Maxtor hd

Any know issues before I try to use this machine for a DAW?

Well, why would you buy used/registered software anyway? :) If it's about the price, you can get Cakewalk Home Studio fairly cheap by now, which has features way over CWPA 9 for sure... As you know CWPA 9 is discontinued, and people getting their head to it's succesor, Home Studio or SONAR. And as you said it's already registered, then you cannot upgrade it... (unless you buy whole new package). It's kinda hard to answer any question you might have in future since rare of us using CWPA 9 anymore...

Your system is good enough to start learning the whole things :) As you master it, you'll notice what to upgrade then... (soundcard, memory, processor, HD, etc...) Just make sure you set everything wisely (driver, apps, tweaks, etc...) and you're ready to go :) Meanwhile, keep your expectation as low as possible... we'll be here to help :)
