Buying Cubase license off eBay?

So I bought this STEINBERG CUBASE 9 PRO RETAIL
off some dude on ebay.

I don't have an elicenser yet because I'm waiting on it in the mail, however I just wanted to make sure that with the elicenser and this license I will be able to download cubase off steinberg?

I'm completely new to licensing online things so its all very confusing to me. Thanks for the help!


Edit: My elicenser is arriving tomorrow from amazon.

How did this work out? I imagine it's fine most of the time. They should be selling you either a hardware dongle or a number than you get get the license through the application onto your dongle.
