Hello everyone,
I know it's quite a few written about this theme, more or less I have even read yet. But I ll invest a lot of money at least for me, so I think it wouldnt be wrong to ask for some advice.
I d like to buy new, better audio interface - external sound card for a home recording system (in the music room). In particular I would like to improve the sound quality, I know it also depends on many things else, but may this be a step forward.
The budget is somewhere around 1200 Eur – 1700 USD, of course, if I get something good for less money, the better for me. The greatest warming I have to the RME Firefice 800 or something like this. I have a RODE NTK mic.
It would be primarily for recording vocals, acoustic guitar, piano, percussions, ... and some plugin synth etc.. Previous sound card is M Audio Firewire 410.
Otherwise, I record more or less in Cubase 5 or live 8. I have some BEHRINGER preamplifier, a supposedly RME has built a mic preamp.
I ll try to buy some good mic preamp as well, hope not to expensive. If anyone has experience or reliable, verified information that you see in relation to the better sound quality "outweighs" the money spent.
What about buying a new or used equipment? I'm quite suspicious about buying used stuff, because you never know if everything is 100 % allright.
What do you think?
I still learn at the time, so I ask for understanding and, of course, thank you very much for answering
Greetings
