Over the last few years of diligent beat making, a few of the buttons on my Roland XP60 have started to go out on me. They still work...some of the time, as long as I push really hard repeatedly. How should I go about getting these damn buttons to work like almost new again? I'm a little hesitent to take this thing apart...but if I have to...I will.

Bad news, doood. You have have probably not only beat the life out of your buttons but also the circuit board underneath.

You can take your XP apart and maybe you'll get lucky and find that they're just dirty and can be cleaned either with compressed air or q-tips and alcohol (90% or above - no 'rubbing alcohol') but since you say you've been beating on them for years that seems like a long shot.

If it was my 'board I would take it in for an estimate to the Roland authorized repair shop in your area that has a rep for accurate estimates and see what they say...

Not what I wanted to hear...but thanks for the reply. I kind of figured as much...but I didn't want it to be true. Time to call Roland I guess.
